MY:Rupee gains 2 paise against US dollar to Rs 54.80
Indian rupee is trading slightly higher against the greenback in noon trade on Wednesday. Rupee was trading up 2 paise or 0.04% against US dollar to Rs 54.80 compared to previous close of 54.82 (12.15 p.m.). It opened at Rs 54.87 against US dollar.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.11% to 83.70 compared to previous close of 83.59 (02:33 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.29 down 0.07% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 102.34 down 0.08% (02:36 ET).
At 12.15 p.m., the Sensex was trading up 383.35 points or 1.94% at 20,105.64 with 30 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 113.65 points or 1.90% at 6,109.05 with 47 components gaining.
