ET:Silver moves up in futures trade on global cues
NEW DELHI: Silver prices rose by Rs 267 to Rs 43,437 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions buoyed by a firm global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, Silver for delivery in July rose by Rs 267, or 0.62 per cent to Rs 43,437 per kg in business turnover of 10,734 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in September contract traded higher by Rs 227, or 0.52 per cent to Rs 43,931 per kg in 310 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators buoyed by a firm global trend mainly pushed up silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver rose one per cent to USD 22.66 an ounce in Singapore.
