MY:Global crude oil price of Indian basket rises 0.5%
The international crude oil price for Indian basket went up 0.49% to USD 100.87 a barrel on Jul. 2, 2013. This was lower than the price of USD 100.38 a barrel prevailing on the previous trading day of Jul. 1, 2013.
The crude oil price in rupee terms also recorded increased 0.93% reaching Rs 5,992.69 a barrel on Jul. 2, 2013 as compared to Rs 5,937.48 a barrel on Jul. 2, 2013. This was due to price increase in dollar terms and also because of rupee depreciation.
Rupee-dollar exchange rates on Jul. 2, 2013 were Rs 59.41/USD against Rs 59.15/ regarded sharp USD on previous trading day of Jul. 1, 2013.
