BLBG:U.K. Pound Strengthens Against Euro, Dollar After BOE Minutes
The pound strengthened against the dollar and euro after minutes of the Bank of England’s July meeting showed the Monetary Policy Committee voted 9-0 to keep its bond-purchase target at 375 billion pounds.
Sterling rose 0.5 percent to $1.5233 at 9:35 a.m. London time. It also appreciated 0.5 percent to 86.44 pence per euro.
