The international crude oil price of Indian Basket declined marginally 0.16% to USD 105.77/barrel (bbl) on July 17, 2013. This was lower than the price of USD 105.94/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of July 16, 2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price fell in keeping with the trend to Rs 6278.51/bbl on July 17, 2013 as compared to Rs 6291.78/bbl on July 16, 2013.
This was mainly due to decline in price in dollar terms. The rupee dollar exchange rate on July 17, 2013 slightly improved to Rs 59.36/USD against Rs 59.39/USD on previous trading day of July 16, 2013.
