ET:Silver futures down 0.59 pc on profit-booking; global cues
NEW DELHI: Amid profit-booking by speculators and a weak trend overseas, silver prices fell by 0.59 per cent to Rs 42,067 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver prices for delivery in far-month December traded lower by Rs 251, or 0.59 per cent, to Rs 42,067 per kg in business turnover of 31 lots.
Similarly, the white metal prices for delivery in September declined by Rs 241, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 41,279 per kg in business volume of 862 lots.
In international market, silver prices traded 1.10 per cent lower at USD 19.64 an ounce in Singapore.
Market analysts said apart from profit-booking by participants, a weak trend in Asian region, led to the fall in silver prices at futures trade here.
