NEW YORK, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices for October delivery gained 64 cents overnight to $107.87 per barrel Thursday morning in advance of a delayed inventory report.
The Energy Information Administration releases a weekly inventory report a day late due to the Labor Day holiday.
Traders remain focused on the possibility of a U.S. military strike against Syria, which could throw the region into further turmoil.
Reformulated blendstock gasoline shed 0.38 cents to $2.8605 per gallon. Home heating oil added 0.35 cents to reach $3.1406 per gallon.
Natural gas gained 0.1 cents to $3.684 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price for unleaded regular gasoline was $3.587 per gallon, down from Wednesday's $3.589, the AAA Fuel Gauge report said.
