MY:India crude oil basket price falls 0.8% to USD 105.68 a barrel
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket went down 0.84% to USD 105.68 a barrel (bbl) on Oct. 25, 2013. This was lower than the price of USD 106.57/bbl which prevailed on the previous trading day of Oct. 24, 2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price registered a decline to fall to Rs 6,513.06 a bbl on Oct. 25, 2013 as compared to Rs 6,544.46/bbl on Oct. 24, 2013. This was due to fall in price in dollar terms though rupee depreciation took a part of the gain on account of fall in price in dollar terms.
Rupee-dollar exchange rate on Oct. 25, 2013 was Rs 61.63/USD against Rs 61.41/bbl on previous trading day of Oct. 24, 2013.
