MY:India crude oil basket price down 0.25% to USD 106.81 a barrel
The international crude oil price of Indian basket went down 0.25% to USD 106.81 a barrel (bbl) on Nov. 18, 2013. This was higher than the price of USD 107.08/bbl which prevailed on the previous trading day of Nov. 15, 2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price declined to Rs 6,689.51 a bbl on Nov. 18, 2013 as compared to Rs 6,752.46/bbl on Nov. 15, 2013. This was due to fall in price in dollar terms and because also of rupee appreciation.
Rupee-dollar exchange rate on Nov. 18, 2013 closed weaker at to Rs 62.63/USD against Rs 63.06/bbl on previous trading day of Nov. 15, 2013.
