LCU:Euro Mixed Ahead Of Eurozone CPI, Unemployment Rate
BRUSSELS (Alliance News) - At 5:00 am ET Friday, Eurozone flash inflation and unemployment figures are due. Eurozone inflation is expected to rise marginally to 0.8 percent in November from 0.7 percent in October. The jobless rate is forecast to remain unchanged at 12.2 percent.
The euro showed mixed trading against other major currencies before these reports. While the euro held steady against the yen and the greenback, it eased against the franc. On the other hand, it was up against the pound.
The euro was worth 1.3616 against the greenback, 139.31 against the yen, 1.2322 against the franc and 0.8341 against the pound at 4:55 am ET.
