MY:India crude oil basket price up 0.8% to USD 109.12 a barrel
The international crude oil price of Indian Basket went up 0.82% to USD 109.12 a barrel (bbl) on Dec. 20, 2013. This was lower than the price of USD 108.23/bbl, which prevailed on the previous trading day of Dec. 19, 2013.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price went up marginally to Rs 6,791.63 a bbl on Dec. 20, 2013 as compared to Rs 6,751.39/bbl on Dec. 19, 2013. This was due to increase price in dollar terms with rupee appreciation pulling back a portion of the increase.
Rupee-dollar exchange rate decline further on Dec. 20, 2013 to Rs 62.24/USD against Rs 62.38/bbl on previous trading day of Dec. 19, 2013.
