IS: Shekel, Yen Down; Pound Outpaces Euro, US Dollar
The official value of the shekel declined an average of .116 percent, Thursday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.492, up .115 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro rose .252 percent to 4.782 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at 5.7201 shekels, up .321 percent, and 100 Japanese yen declined .317 percent to NIS 3.3325. The Canadian dollar slipped .003 percent to NIS 3.2849, while its Australian counterpart was fixed at 3.1034 shekels, down .219 percent, and the South African rand advanced .119 percent to .3372 shekels.
