RTTN:Chinese Yuan Falls To 6-day Low Against U.S. Dollar
The Chinese yuan lost ground against the U.S. dollar in Asia on Thursday.
The yuan hit 6.0530 against the greenback, lowest since January 10. If the yuan extends decline, it may seek support at the 6.06 area. The pair was worth 6.0463 at yesterday's close.
The People Bank of China set today's central parity rate for yuan at 6.1065 per dollar, compared to yesterday's reference rate of 6.1005. The central bank sets the reference rate every morning and allows the currency to move upto 1 percent from that level.
