The international crude oil price of Indian Basket went down 0.65% to USD 106.30 a barrel (bbl) on Mar. 5, 2014. This was higher than the price of USD 107 a bbl on previous trading day of Mar. 4, 2014.
In rupee terms also, the price of Indian Basket decreased to Rs 6,575.72 a bbl on Mar. 5, 2014 as compared to Rs 6,623.30 a bbl on Mar. 4, 2014. This was due to decline in price in dollar terms and helped by the marginal rupee appreciation.
Rupee closed stronger at Rs 61.86 a USD on Mar. 5, 2014 as against Rs 61.90 a US dollar on previous trading of Mar. 4, 2014.
