Nickel prices rose further by Rs 5 per kg on the local non-ferrous base metals market today largely in line with firming global trend.
Strong demand from alloy-makers and other consuming industries supported the upside, traders said.
Meanwhile, nickel for delivery in three months climbed 0.7 per cent to 16,310 dollar a metric tonne, the highest intraday level since April 10 on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, nickel (4x4) rose further by Rs 5 to Rs 1,060-1,061 per kg.
