NEW YORK (MarketWatch)-- The European Central Bank, as expected, kept its main lending rate at a record low 0.5% on Thursday. The central bank has maintained this level since it was cut from 0.75% seven months ago. The ECB left its deposit rate, which it pays banks on reserves held at the central bank, at zero. A press conference, led by ECB President Mario Draghi, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Eastern to discuss the central bank's policy decisions.
