Business and consumer confidence across the eurozone fell slightly in April, but remained relatively sturdy, a European Commission survey showed Wednesday, indicating that the region is still on track for a modest economic recovery.
The European Commission's Economic Sentiment Indicator--a measure of business and consumer confidence--fell for the first time in five months, to 103.7 in April from 103.9 in March.
Among the eurozone's larger economies, sentiment deteriorated in Germany and France, but picked up further in Spain.
