The European Central Bank, as widely expected, on Wednesday left official interest rates unchanged. The ECB held its main refinancing rate at 0.05% and maintained the rate on overnight deposits at minus 0.2%. The rate on the ECB's marginal lending facility remains at 0.3%. ECB President Mario Draghi will hold a news conference at 2:30 p.m. Frankfurt time, or 8:30 a.m. Eastern, where he's likely to face questions over the progress of the ECB's quantitative easing program, improving economic data in the eurozone, and the state of Greece's banking system.
