PT: EURO GAS: Dutch, German prices move higher
 
Wholesale gas prices in Germany and the Netherlands edged higher Monday, having fallen Friday.

By midday London time, TTF day-ahead last dealt Eur19.60/MWh, up 15 euro cent on the previous session, with its peer on the German NetConnect firming 10 euro cent to Eur19.80/MWh.

Meanwhile, GASPOOL spot prices were seen trading between Eur19.575-19.60/MWh after closing at Eur19.40/MWh Friday.

Dutch and German spot prices held their premium to the respective front-month contracts.

TTF October was up 10 euro cent to exchange hands at 19.525/MWh, with the NCG counterpart a touch higher at Eur19.725/MWh compared to its Friday close of Eur19.60/MWh.

There was less movement in the front-month contract on GASPOOL, which was seen trading between 19.475-19.55/MWh, against its previous assessment of Eur19.425/MWh.

Gas supply to Europe from Russia and Norway was seen slightly lower Monday afternoon while demand was indicated at 452.2 million cu m, up 45.1 million cu m on Friday's level, according to figures from Eclipse Energy, an analytics unit of Platts.

Eclipse forecast end-of-day domestic demand in the Netherlands and Germany up a combined 30.2 million cu to 69.4 million cu m 134.6 million cu m, respectively.

Eclipse's short-term demand model is calculated from demand, temperature and wind speed outturns in addition to deviations between weather forecasts and these outturns.

Tuesday temperatures in Amsterdan were were seen stable day on day to be in line with the seasonal high/low of 20/11 degrees Celsius.

Berlin temperatures were forecast to nudge higher to be 1 C below the norms of 20/10 C, according to CustomWeather.

Despite higher demand expectations in both countries, Norwegian gas flowing to Germany and the Netherlands was seen healthy. At around midday London time, real-time flow rates at Emden/Dornum on the Dutch-German border were placed at 137.9 million cu m/day, compared with 106.7 million cu m/d at the same time Friday, according to network operator Gassco.

End-of-day Norwegian imports into the Netherlands were nominated at 57.2 million cu m at around midday London time, up over 20 million cu m from Friday's allocations. German imports were also seen above the 77.7 million cu m allocated Friday.
