PL: Dutch, German prompt gas prices ease on a comfortable system
 
Dutch and German spot gas prices continued to edge lower Monday with supply remaining steady in the Netherlands and with temperatures being above seasonal average.

By midday London time, the Dutch TTF day-ahead and GASPOOL contracts traded at Eur18.80/MWh, 17.5 euro cent and 7.5 euro cent lower, respectively.

The German NetConnect equivalent traded 20 euro cent lower at Eur19.075/MWh.

Real-time flow rates at Emden/Dornum on the Dutch-German border relatively stable from Friday at around 140.6 million cu m/day by around midday London time, data from network operator Gassco showed.

CustomWeather forecast temperatures in Amsterdam for Tuesday to be 1 degree Celsius above seasonal norms, while Berlin was pegged 2 C above the norm.

End-of-day Norwegian imports into the Netherlands were indicated at 60.6 million cu m at around midday London time, compared with 61.1 million cu m Friday, according to Eclipse Energy, an analytics unit of Platts.

German nominated imports into the Netherlands were slightly down since Friday to 24.3 million cu m from 25.1 million cu m.

German imports from Czech Republic were indicated at 36.5 million cu m, up 5 million cu m from Friday.

End-of-day Dutch domestic demand was up 3.4 million cu m to 67.9 million cu m Friday, while German demand was forecast at 177.2 million cu m at around midday London time, Eclipse Energy said.

Eclipse's short-term demand model is calculated from demand, temperature and wind speed outturns in addition to deviations between weather forecasts and these last outturns.

On the near-curve, TTF and NetConnect October both last traded 10 euro cent lower at Eur18.80/MWh and Eur19.00/MWh, while the GASPOOL equivalent traded at Eur18.75/MWh, down 15 euro cent.
