BLBG: Durable Goods Orders in U.S. Decreased 2% in August
Orders for U.S. durable goods -- items meant to last at least three years -- decreased 2 percent in August after rising 1.9 percent the prior month, data from the Commerce Department showed Thursday in Washington.
The median forecast of 79 economists surveyed by Bloomberg estimated bookings would fall 2.3 percent, with projections ranging from a 5 percent drop to a 1.5 increase.
