AT: Nature Ministry to auction ten oil and gas licenses
The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has prepared materials for assigning the rights to ten hydrocarbon-bearing areas, ministry sources told RIA Novosti.
"We have prepared the necessary materials to assign the rights of use for ten sites, mainly in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, holding over 220 million metric tons of oil and 225 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The estimated initial payment will be about 22 billion rubles," the representative of the ministry said.
