BRUSSELS (Alliance News) - At 7:45 am ET Thursday, the European Central Bank is scheduled to announce the outcome of its governing council meeting. The refi rate is expected to remain at a record low zero % and the deposit rate at -0.40%.
Ahead of the announcement, the euro advanced against the other major currencies.
The euro was worth 1.1291 against the greenback, 114.66 against the yen, 0.8452 against the pound and 1.0917 against the franc as of 7:40 am ET.
